Visit the Staunton Campus
Our historic undergraduate residential campus is located in Staunton, VA. From Flying Squirrels games to Shakespearean performances to Quidditch matches, we offer a student experience like no other. Plus, we’re located just minutes from Staunton’s historic downtown area and many cultural attractions.
Open Houses
A great way to get a feel for our campus and culture is to attend an open house.
Here’s what we have coming up:
Learn more about ³ÉÈ˶¶Òô’s Signature Neighborhoods in a virtual session led by the Neighborhood Leaders. Learn about the benefits of living, learning and exploring with students who share your interests!
At ³ÉÈ˶¶Òô, neighbors live together their first year, study and take classes together, and enjoy special activities tailored to their neighborhood for the duration of the program.

The Virginia Women’s Institute for Leadership (VWIL) is a highly regarded leadership program emphasizing the values of discipline, integrity, and service.
Over the weekend you can meet faculty and staff from the VWIL/ROTC program and attend information sessions to learn what to expect as an enrolled student at ³ÉÈ˶¶Òô. Topics include academic offerings, financial aid and scholarships, and student life.

Sunday, January 19th, 2025
- 12 pm – 1pm: Check-in and lunch
- 1 pm: Information session with key members of our VWIL/ROTC team (Families welcome to attend)
- 2 pm – 3 pm: Full campus tour (Families welcome to attend)
- 3:30 pm – 5 pm : Participate in our Fitness Expo (informal fitness sessions: climbing wall, Zumba, indoor soccer, yoga, etc.)
- 5:30 pm – 6 pm: Dinner at Hunt Dining Hall with host cadets (casual attire)
- 6 pm – 6:30 pm: Ceremony honoring our visiting students and a meet and greet with ³ÉÈ˶¶Òô’s President Stein (Families welcome to attend)
- 8 pm – 11 pm Movie time and games in Spencer and Kable Residence Halls
Monday, January 20th, 2025
- 8 am – 9 am: Pack bags and join cadets for breakfast at Hunt Dining Hall
- 9 am – 11 am: National Day of Service – Join the VWIL Corps supporting service projects
- 11:30 am – 1 pm: Lunch and departure
Recommended Packing List
- Warm winter casual clothing, including gloves, hat, and comfortable shoes (weather forecast: 29F – 42F cloudy)
- Indoor athletic clothing, including shorts, sweats, t-shirts, socks, athletic shoes – recommend arrive wearing PT gear
- Pillow and sleeping bag (We’ll provide an air mattress. If flying, let us know and we’ll also provide a fresh pillow and sleeping bag.)
- Towel and toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, personal items, etc.)

The Office of Inclusive Excellence develops programming that promotes cross-cultural sharing and exploration, and offers holistic support to students of color. Our diverse student body represents more than 50 percent of ³ÉÈ˶¶Òô’s on-campus undergraduate population. Our focus is on your academic success, leadership development, wellness, cultural enrichment, and community involvement.
Over these two days at ³ÉÈ˶¶Òô, you will meet faculty and staff that are dedicated to your success here at ³ÉÈ˶¶Òô as an African American student. You’ll attend information sessions to learn more about our Ida B. Wells and PERSIST programs and what to expect as an enrolled student at ³ÉÈ˶¶Òô. Topics include academic offerings, financial aid and scholarships, student organizations and clubs, and student life.

Small Group Tours
We’re open for small group campus tours at 10 am and 2 pm, Monday through Friday. Tours last about an hour. We encourage you to schedule a 30-minute meeting afterward with an admissions counselor.
Self-Guided Tour
Looking to explore campus on your own? We’ve got you covered! Schedule your self-guided tour, and we’ll provide you with the materials you need to navigate campus on your own. Please note that Self-Guided Walking Tours are available for the Staunton campus only.
Shakespeare & Performance Tour
This program tour will unveil a world of captivating performances, enriching class insights, and immersive discussions. Attend a show at the American Shakespeare Center and connect with fellow students. Explore Staunton’s charm and embrace the theatrical journey that awaits.

Mary Baldwin’s Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences is located in Fishersville, VA, just a few miles from the Staunton campus. Students enrolled in our physical therapy, occupational therapy, and physician assistant programs call this state-of-the-art campus their home.
