Department of Kinesiology Faculty Member Assistant/Associate Professor

Summary of Position:
³ÉÈ˶¶Òô in Staunton, VA has an open faculty position in the Department of Kinesiology at the Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences. This position is a full-time, renewable, 12-month faculty position (hybrid or on campus) at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor.
Responsibilities include guiding students through the undergraduate health sciences major within Kinesiology through teaching (from entry level to advanced coursework), advisement, mentorship, and coordination of senior research projects. Individuals with specific areas of teaching/research interest within public/population health and/or health education/communication are encouraged to apply.
Scholarship and participation in university, community, and professional service is required.
Professional Qualifications:
- Earned doctorate in Kinesiology or other related field required (e.g. public/population health and/or health education/communication)
- Experience with or understanding of online educational learning and teaching including use of learning technologies preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills with ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide variety of constituencies in a diverse community.
